Hello Fred!

Thanks for your question. I can't believe you were thinking of that verse! Very interesting synchronicity...

Due to the nature of this topic, I can only speak from personal experience here; but that sounds like combining goal setting with affirmation. I've found that if you put a date on when something is supposed to manifest, you're often disappointed because you're attaching yourself to the outcome. The future is constantly rearranging itself, and we have to be careful not to put limitations and lots of expectations on it. From my research and personal experience, being attached to the outcome severely limits the chances of what you want manifesting.

The key is to first know what you want, but then be open to seeing it appear in your life in an unexpected way. When your heart is open to unexpected ways, you "release" your desire to All That Is. Having faith that it will come in its own perfect time allows it to happen. The "releasing" of the expectation of when or how is key here.

That's worked much better for me. Since your beliefs shape how you perceive what happens to you, your experience may be a bit different; but don't let that stop you from experimenting!

What a great article. I recently had a thought about that particular verse in relation to the law of attraction. What a.. coincidence..! ;)

I've been doing a twice daily intention manifestation exercise early as a result of reading Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. He says that we should define the exact time we want to achieve something by, because that helps our subconscious to come up with a timely answer.

What do you think about that approach, versus the more flexible approach you present here?
