Spread the Word!
There are lots of ways to spread the word Byteful Travel. At least seven!
- If you find an article useful, email it to a friend, tweet about it, Google+ it, or post it to your myface page using the share buttons at the top and bottom of each article.
- Follow @Bytefulcom on Twitter
- Follow Bytefulcom on Friendfeed
- Add Byteful to your Del.icio.us page
- Befriend us on Digg
- Befriend us on Flickr
- And of course, spread the word with a BT badge on your own webpage!
See? There are lots of ways to share, and they all help grow the site which allows me to keep all of Byteful Travel’s content available free of charge (though number 1 and number 7 help the most).
To put a BT badge on your site, please follow these guidelines responsibly. (They’re pretty important.) In doing so, you reinforce Byteful Travel’s integrity, while spreading the word about the website to others (which is important for this site’s continued survival).
Thanks in advance! Without you, the world wouldn’t be quite as warm or as sunny.

8 Simple Rules for Using My BT Button
- Download a badge first. (Just drag it to your desktop and then upload it to your site.) Do not hotlink the image directly to this server. If you do, that’s bandwidth theft, and there are consequences for stealing bandwidth.
- Only link to the main page at Byteful.com Do not link a badge to other pages on your web site or to third-party web sites.
Keep the area around the web badge clean and uncluttered. The clear space around the badge should measure at least half of the height of the badge (which is 16 pixels) on all sides. (See graphic to the right for an example.)- Make sure that the web badges are sized correctly, meaning smaller than and in a clearly subordinate position to your web page title and site name or logo.
- Do not use the badges as design elements or incorporate them into any other design, graphic, illustration, or logo. (The preferred background color for our web badges is white or off-white. Avoid patterned backgrounds whenever possible.)
- Do not use the badge in any way that might suggest that Byteful.com endorses or is responsible for the content of your web site.
- Do not animate, rotate, or otherwise distort any of the badges.
- Do not use more than one copy of a particular badge on a web page.
When you’re all done, feel free to drop us a line so that we know you’re linking to us and can see your site.
Thanks again for spreading the word!

Powered by Plants badges
You can use the web badges below on your own website, blog, or myface page to let the world know that you’ve made a conscious decision about your health! Whether you’re a raw vegan, normal vegan, macrobiotic eater, vegetarian, or even just a lover of bananas, these badges are an attractive way to spread the word about your conscious nutritional choice. If you use one of these badges and you have your own site, spread the love and make the badge to link back here so your friends can get their own badge!
Actually, if you have a webpage or myface page of your own and you enjoy Byteful Travel, you can get a Byteful Travel badge too. It helps grow the site which is crucial if I’m going to continue making all of Byteful Travel’s content available free of charge (including hundreds of high resolution, high quality photos in the gallery). The Byteful Travel badges work well in any color scheme and one could be placed in a sidebar, for instance.
As for the Plants badges, if there’s an -ian or -gan that you’d like for your own site that I haven’t included here, please let me know in the comments!
Update: Powered by Bananas badges are now available, so if you’re a big fan of everybody’s favorite fruit, you may want to spread the word or use it as a joke.

CommentLuv badges
Also, if you’re a fan of ComLuv (which is an amazing plugin I’ve been using for years that encourages commenting on your own site), you can use any of the web badges below on your own website or blog to let the world know that when they leave a comment on your site, it’ll help people discover their site. The upshot of this is that people feel much more inclined to participate in the discussions that your site spurs.
In the past whenever I created a new badge for ComLuv, Andy, the creator of ComLuv, had to update the badge page on ComLuv.com and upload new images, etc. Well, to streamline the process a bit I’ve added the ComLuv badges to this page so I can provide you with the latest ComLuv badges directly. And perhaps this will make things easier for Andy, as well.
And since Andy said it’s alright to hotlink these images from their sources, you can feel free to copy and paste the code below into your own site.
Spread the luv!

thanks for the badges, here’s links to the S3 hosted versions of your byteful badges. You’re welcome to let people use those hotlinked if you like

Hey Thanks Andy! You didn’t have to do that
That’ll come in handy.
Love it! I am going to print out the “Powered By Plants” logo and stick it on my cooler for when I take my raw food with me!
Have a great day!
Whoa, Charlot! Those coolers look YUMMY.
But these badges are so small. They’re for web use.
Would you guys be interested in something bigger, more fit to print out?
“The spaces between your fingers were created so that another’s could fill them in.” …I have a new phone and I am totally in love with it. OK I love “Powered By Plants” logo coz it is super uber-cool and is exerting a dreadful fascination over me.
Hey I LOVE the vegetarian badges, but I just use a Tumbler account (religiously) is there a change for a copy and paste code like the ComLuv badges?
Love River x
River, not currently. So you mean to tell me Tumblr doesn’t allow any image uploading? At the very least, you’re welcome to upload a badge to flickr and link to it from there. After all, they’re released under Creative Commons.
Love the vegetarian badges! The badges are too small for anything other that web use though.
This is a very helpful post. Loved the “Powered by Plants” a whole lot! Thank you!
