With 2.7 million residents, Chicago is the third most populous city in the entire United States, and it’s overflowing with free and inexpensive things to do during your visit, many of which I’ve written about at length. (I especially recommend you checkout The Bean sculpture.) There are also some things, such as the Field Museum, which aren’t cheap but are definitely worth experiencing at least once.
Free Things to Do in Chicago:
- The Bean Sculpture (Chicago’s Cloud Gate)
- Crown Fountain
- Navy Pier (a shopping mall?)
- Lincoln Park Zoo (article forthcoming)
