Nestled on an isthmus between two lakes, downtown Madison thrives in a wonderful balance between city and nature. Simply put, Madison is one of my favorite cities in the whole world. In addition to being a highly educated university city, Madison offers some great opportunities for free and inexpensive things to do during your visit.
