Strange Starlight column sculpture

Date: 2008/Aug/20 Wed

In this light sculpture, you could count a few thousand individual points of light. This is roughly equal to the number of stars that a person with good vision could see from a dark sky location away from city lights; however, this is but a small fraction of the actual number of stars in our Galaxy - about one trillion. That's 1,000,000,000,000 stars!
