ToProxyLab Puts Byteful to the Test: 100% Pass Rate

ToProxyLab Review.png

ToProxyLab has published its independent review of Byteful. It is the second time this year our network has been put through outside testing, after Proxyway ranked us first out of 13 providers on hard targets in its 2026 benchmarks.

Max, from ToProxyLab, ran IP reputation checks, leak tests, and blacklist lookups on single IPs. He then ran batch tests on 500 and 5,000 proxies, a speed test on 200 proxies, and a FOGLDN run against google.com. The final score was 4.3 out of 5. Reviews like this show us where we can be better, and we take them seriously. Here is how we performed.

What the review found

  • Fastest network they have tested: Our download median on 200 proxies was 17.96 Mbps, ahead of MangoProxy at 13.3 Mbps and NodeMaven at 8.6 to 9.8 Mbps. On FOGLDN, every proxy returned OK against google.com in 108 to 174 ms, with no CAPTCHA. The review calls Byteful the fastest residential provider they've tested
  • 100% success rate on 5,000 proxies: The state-level test across California returned 5,000 out of 5,000, with zero failures. Of those, 4,100 were unique IPs, which is 82% of the sample
  • Consistent latency: The 500-proxy pool test came in at a p50 of 419 ms and a p95 of 583 ms. The small gap between the two means there was no long tail of slow IPs.
  • Clean IPs with no leaks: The test IP scored 11 out of 100 on Scamalytics, which ToProxyLab classifies as typical of quality residential IPs. Pixelscan found no proxy and a consistent fingerprint, and its blacklist check returned 0 hits out of 45. WebRTC and DNS were both clean, with every resolver on Cox.
  • Flexible targeting and traffic that never expires: Country, state, city, ZIP, ISP/ASN, and operating system, plus a live pool-size indicator, make the review genuinely useful. Non-expiring traffic is described as a unique advantage in the market.

Where we can do better

ToProxyLab did raise a few points. The first test used very narrow targeting, San Diego plus Cox Communications, which left only 761 IPs to work with. In that slice, the success rate was 91.8% with 44% unique IPs.

Max noted that the generator had warned him that its filters were limiting the pool, and the 5,000-proxy test at the state level confirmed it with 100% success and 82% unique IPs. The second point is sticky sessions. Our documentation states sessions last up to 24 hours, but the generator doesn't show a duration setting, and Max found IPs rotating sooner than expected.
